Summer is about to end. The residents of Fuji Apartments have to look towards their futures. Hallie still doesn't know what she wants. Everyone seems to be leaving her behind. Her father issues an ulimatim-- do something with her life or be thrown out in the streets. Hallie's time and freedom are running out as she tries to act before summer draws to a close.

Summer brings more heat and love. However, it raises tempers and brawls-- fun and serious-- go off. However, leave it to a few exes and former flames to ruin everything and make things more complicated. Meanwhile, Choko looks for love in the hot plumber she met last time.

Peaceful times aren't easy. So, Choko takes the residents for a little beach trip. Sadly, even the sun, sand, and sea can't cool heated tempers. Too many schemes, hook-ups, and competitions heat up every day. With so much going on at Fuji Apartment, does anybody get time to rest for the summer?

Two girls are enough. But, who's this third girl in the mix? Heather looks all sweet and doe-eyed with her baby doll face. Hallie and Evie hare her already. Another guy in the mix doesn't help matters either. The best thing to do is duck and cover. The war is heating up. On your marks... Get set... Fight!

Hallie stood in front of her mirror. Tonight would be an interesting one. Started around ten a.m. Hallie got a knock on her door. She groaned as she went to answer.

“What?” she asked. “Make it quick, would ya? I was…” Her words stopped when she opened her eyes. Hal stood in the doorway, staring at her.

“Oh,” he said. “Is this a bad time?” Hallie shook her head in a flash.

“No!” she yelped. “No, no.” Hal smiled at her. The tomboy felt like melting. Her face fired red. Hal chuckled.

“Anyway,” he said. “You doing anything this evening?”

“No!” she said. “Why?”

“I was thinking that we could hang out or something.”

“And do what?”

“I don’t know. Maybe a movie or something.”

Hallie gave him a little smile. “Sure.”

“Great. I’ll see you at six.”

“Okay.”

Hallie rushed inside, panting. She trembled all over. Fuck!, she thought. I’m not supposed to enjoy this place! My parents trapped me here. I should hate this place! Hallie took in a deep breath.

“Right,” she mumbled. “Back to more exploring.” Hallie looked around her current location. Pitch dimness. She tried to get a look. A puzzled look came onto her face.

Is that a pinball machine?, she thought. Hallie felt around for the lights. At last, she found the switch. Got ya!, she thought. Hallie flipped on the lights. That’s better. Hallie looked around again. Well, that was a pinball machine in the back corner. Two to be exact. Twelve Mac computers to the right. Three PCs sat next to them. A DJ booth sat up ahead of her. Flat screen TV against the left wall. A fluffy orange sofa sat in the middle of the room with dark green chairs. Hallie blinked amazed.

“What is this place?” she asked.

“The Chill Out lounge,” a voice said behind her. Hallie whipped around. Pool boy stood in the doorway, smiling. Hallie’s cheeks fired red again.

“What?” she asked. The boy took a step forward.

“We call this the Chill Out lounge,” he explained. “This is our game room. Sometimes we have parties here.” Hallie took another look around.

“Wow,” she whispered. The boy smiled and held out his hand.

Summer Begins

Ah, summer’s here. Good times, less clothes, new loves, freedom to do whatever. Fun times, right? Not for Hallie Ross. She just wanted to stay home, play video games, and maybe go to the beach. But instead, she’s in a taxi to Fuji Apartments in Tokyo. Why? Her father, the navy captain, pushed her to go. He didn’t like her attitude.

“I didn’t raise an unpleasant child,” he said at the dinner table three days before school let out. Hallie rolled her eyes.

“You didn’t raise me at all,” she mumbled. He shot a glare at her.

“What did you say?” he asked. Hallie looked her dad in the eye.

“You’re never here!” she barked. “You’re always at your job.” Her mother, the peacemaker, tried to stop her.

“Hallie, don’t,” she murmured. Her daughter didn’t listen.

“It’s always about for you!” she shouted. “When you get home, all you do is boss us around like we’re your cadets. This isn’t your work place. This is home!”

“One more word out of you…” her dad said.

“Or what?” she challenged. That never goes well. As a result, Hallie got shipped off to Tokyo for the summer. Nice one, Hals, she thought. Nice one! Hallie sighed as she looked out the window.
