Series Summary:

Summary:
Twentieth book in the series. Two teenaged lovers embark on a game of murder and torture to kill their boredom. The case ends up at Ju-Oh-Cho's door when the teens get hold of dark magic one evening. Meanwhile, changes come to Tsuzuki and Anna when they recieve a little "gift" while looking for survivors from a violent storm in Okinawa. Love tries to grow for Charlotte, Takashi, April, and Kyosuke. Plus, Lucy gets some new neighbors and the mole in Ju-Oh-Cho is finally revealed.

Chapter One: The Crime:

December 19th, 2012, 10:00 a.m. Ono Yumiko, the Fuji Apartments cleaning lady, unlocked the Gabriel’s front door. No sooner had she opened the front door, she began to sense that something was wrong. First of all, the house was deadly quiet. The professor, David Gabriel, usually had the Clash blasting while he was grading papers. Many of the neighbors had to come over in the morning and ask him to turn down his stereo. Yumiko had to hit pause or turn it off in order to talk to her client. The silence shocked her almost to the point that she thought that she had unlocked wrong the apartment. She looked at the door to see if she was at the Gabriel apartment. Yes, this was apartment 337. So, why the silence? Were David and Ashley sick this morning? No, they would have sent her an e-mail last night. Maybe the complaints finally got to him?
