Chapter Three: Island Festival:
I had never seen so my paper lanterns in my life. The sounds of traditional Japanese music filled my ears. The people at the harbor looked like they were preparing for a party of some kind. I looked up at my hosts.
"What are they doing today?" I asked. Noiz gave me a rich smile.
"They are getting ready for the festival today," she said. I gave her an odd look.

The Jetty:
"Brianna!" Noiz greeted me. "How have you been?" She walked over and threw her arms around me.
"Fine," I answered. "I'm fine." She let go of me to stare at me. I raised an eyebrow at her.
"What?" I asked. Noiz put her hand over my head.

I really should be home in DC now! I'm in a foreign country here! I'm not even spending summer on the main island! My cousin, Noizchild Johnson, her boyfriend, and I are going to a small island off of Honshu called Aka-Usagi! I was told at the airport to head straight to the cruise dock. Brilliant! Just brilliant! I'm in a foreign country, can't speak Japanese, and I don't know where on Earth I am. Well, could be worse. I could be at my grandmother's all summer long! I shuddered at the thought of spending long hot hours on the farm. I would die out there! I would also die without electronics out there! They are my bloodline! My grandmother listens in the middle of nowhere too. That would drive me insane. I would have to people to talk to at all times! I am failing to understand how my grandmother can enjoy living out in the middle of nowhere with no one to talk to year after year. I couldn't do it! I would die first! The country is no life for me! Plus, I'm too delicate to work out in hot sun. I would break too easily in the heat picking vegetables for no payment at all! That would be so wrong! Thus, me being here in the Honshu boat dock station waiting for my cousin and her boyfriend. What a drag!

I looked and noticed a picture of a girl and myself as teenagers in an open field. I didn’t start this business alone, you know? I had a really good friend come and help me.
Her name was Leona. She has been my friend since we were little kids. She’s the one who gave me the idea for the company in the first place. The born of Royal Airs started our junior year of high school. I was bored in class one day and started drawing airplanes. Leona leaned over my shoulder and watched my hands more across the paper. She jotted down a little note and passed it to me.
What are you drawing?

Chapter Three: The Sun:
On my desk to my left sat a sun charm necklace. I smiled as my head filled with sweet memories of the next lady in my life. Her name was Sun-Ling. She was my younger half-sister, in fact. I remember the day she came to live with us.
My father left us when I was four. Over the years, he remarried and went on with his life. At the age of fourteen, I learned that I had a sister. This came about while I was snooping in my mother’s office. She had another man over and they were in her bedroom at the time. I was bored and decided to spy around on her. In her desk drawer, I found letters addressed to me from my father. I blinked and tiled my head at the handwriting.

The first woman to set me on this path is my mother. She pretty much shaped my life with women when I was growing. Our house was pretty much her kingdom. My sister and I were her loyal subjects. I label her as the empress because she is as such in my life. In her younger days, she looked like a queen. She grew up as the center of attention. My mother just had to have all eyes on her. She wasn’t the type of woman who was took no for an answer. That went to her children.
It’s a wonder she could never hold onto a boyfriend for long. Every man in her life eventually got fed up with her and left. I wished I could’ve done the same thing. Okay, let me back up a little bit. My mother grew up in poverty. On top of that, she was the youngest of nine girls. Naturally, she wanted to be a queen. From the age of three, she viewed herself as a princess. Her father first placed this notion in her head. He called her his little princess. From there, the legend of the empress was born.

Chapter One: The Fool:
-Madis-
I sat at my desk in my home office in a long daze. I began to go over my life so far. As long as I could remember, all the women that I have encountered have been crazy, desperate, or both. I can’t tell if they started out that way or they ended up like that because they met me. The ending was always the same: they would be crazy and resent me in some way possible. It stemmed all the way back to my mother all the way to present day. I don’t really understand how this happened. To be honest with you, I still haven’t fully controlled it yet. If I had, I wouldn’t be all alone now.
