Chapter One: Noiz Kidnapped!
The harsh smell of cigarettes bitch-slapped Noiz wide awake in the morning. Sure, she was used to the smell, but this was too much. Plus, Aiko Suite never smelled like cigarettes. That only led to one thing

I met Kaoru while I was on vacation with my friends. It was my birthday then. My friends decided to take me out to Okinawa for the weekend. This was quite the surprise to be honest with you. The whole plan went like this:
Back then, I worked at my family’s art dealership. I am to become the sole heir later this year. That day was one of last good days that I would ever have. My morning started out great. I woke up to a text message from my mother. “Happy 20th, Setsuna!” it read. I couldn’t help but to smile. “Thanks mom,” I thought. I got and went through my daily routine to get ready for school and work. They went all out for breakfast for me this morning. I got my favorite dishes today. The chef made me Pork Shogayaki for breakfast this morning. You can imagine my shock when I saw that on the table with steamed rice and ginger tea waiting on the table for me. I had to blink to see if I was dreaming.

Chapter Three: Island Festival:
I had never seen so my paper lanterns in my life. The sounds of traditional Japanese music filled my ears. The people at the harbor looked like they were preparing for a party of some kind. I looked up at my hosts.
"What are they doing today?" I asked. Noiz gave me a rich smile.
"They are getting ready for the festival today," she said. I gave her an odd look.

The Jetty:
"Brianna!" Noiz greeted me. "How have you been?" She walked over and threw her arms around me.
"Fine," I answered. "I'm fine." She let go of me to stare at me. I raised an eyebrow at her.
"What?" I asked. Noiz put her hand over my head.

I really should be home in DC now! I'm in a foreign country here! I'm not even spending summer on the main island! My cousin, Noizchild Johnson, her boyfriend, and I are going to a small island off of Honshu called Aka-Usagi! I was told at the airport to head straight to the cruise dock. Brilliant! Just brilliant! I'm in a foreign country, can't speak Japanese, and I don't know where on Earth I am. Well, could be worse. I could be at my grandmother's all summer long! I shuddered at the thought of spending long hot hours on the farm. I would die out there! I would also die without electronics out there! They are my bloodline! My grandmother listens in the middle of nowhere too. That would drive me insane. I would have to people to talk to at all times! I am failing to understand how my grandmother can enjoy living out in the middle of nowhere with no one to talk to year after year. I couldn't do it! I would die first! The country is no life for me! Plus, I'm too delicate to work out in hot sun. I would break too easily in the heat picking vegetables for no payment at all! That would be so wrong! Thus, me being here in the Honshu boat dock station waiting for my cousin and her boyfriend. What a drag!

Chapter Five: Isaac:
I studied upon to noon when my stomach started to growl. At first, I did my best to ignore it. No, I can’t eat until I’m finished. It’s not time to eat yet. I can hold out a little bit longer. I buried myself deeper in my books. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore.
Alright, you win! I’ll go get something to eat. I set aside my study material and went downstairs to the kitchen. I peeked around for the whole trip in hopes of not running into any of them. Something is telling me not to stay here too long. But yet, I feel that somehow I don’t really have a choice. Chapter One: Baby is Gone:
It happened on a hot afternoon in July of 1996. The neighborhood on Hunter’s Street started out lazy like it had been that summer. Most of the kids had gone to camp or the beach that year. It seemed that nothing could disturb the peace. That all changed about 3:19 on July tenth.
Twenty-six-year-old Kimberly had just pulled into her driveway from her morning shift at the Chicken Express. Ever since her broken engagement to her long-time boyfriend, Chris, she had been struggling to make ends make for her four-year-old daughter, Lily.
